Yep. Bought a several sets of slicks off him years ago at an event.

I come back through every now and then to check old threads for tech problems and advice. It's still a good resource... better than some of the new forums in some respects.

As far as Sal, I still have one of his PSP tunes on my XCAL2 programmer. Mail ordered, it is as good as the dyno tune I have for the truck.
