Need some info quick, Herb's Washers?

I did a search and couldn't find this info, I need to order some Herb's washers like RIGHT NOW, the Lowering Springs and Alignment are going to happen this weekend and I need to get some Herb's washers for my front end clunk... is there a phone number or a web site? all I remember seeing before is an e-mail address, is that the only way to contact him (them whatever)?

BTW, my L is a 2001 model, it already had the Ford "toothed washer" fix installed from the factory but still clunked from day 1. I got another set of the washers and removed the old ones and washed all of the frame wax in the area around the bolt hole, and torqued the bolts down to 140Lbs per the TSB, guess what, didn't fix it. It may have made it happen slightly less frequently, but it still does it.

I thought about just tack welding the washers which would probably work just fine, but If the Herb Washers don't cost too much, then I'll just get a set of them.

anyway, if anybody has a phone number/web address/or e-mail address, I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd post it here, I'm at work, not at home so I can't check my e-mail.

thanks alot.

later,
chris

Amen

I've been looking for the same thing. Stupid clunk is obnoxious! I can repeat it EVERY time when backing up and turning the wheel, not even fully rotating the wheel... grr.. I also have an '01 with the "toothed fix."

I would gladly pay Herb Tuesday for a washer today.

Can't believe someone is on this board while at work...gotta go the boss is coming.

hmm.... Maybe I can get the dealership to reimburse me for the washers... since they don't even have a good fix for the clunk.

Worth investigating? Anyone ever get the dealer to foot the bill?

Max,
Dream on. More likely they will use it as a lame excuse to void your warranty.

Will these washers affect alignment once they are put on, because I just had it aligned. Thanks

My buddy just put a set on his truck. They work awesome.

He has had the clunk for a while, and they were kind of difficult to install because the bolt had rounded out the hole a little bit. Word to the wise, install them as soon as you are able.

My truck hasn't started clunking yet, but the washers are going on at the next oil change.

Steve

BTW How lucky are we to have these trucks? Seriously. It outperforms just about everything, has a huge selection of aftermarket parts (especially for such a limited production vehicle), and a cadre of owners that are capable of fixing problems the factory can't even solve.

Hey, Herb told me I'd need upper cam bolts too, only available thru NAPA or similar. Does anyone know the part # of those items?
