Dyno'ing Questions

How do you dyno an all-wheel drive car?
And is there not a 10-15% loss on front-wheel drive cars?

Just wondering...

You disconnect the rear shaft from the transaxle normally for the DSM cars (including the AWD Stealth and 2000 twins) and dyno off the front tires. This can play havoc w/ the computer.

Dynojet now makes an adapter kit that allows AWD cars to be tested. It's on their website at www.dynojet.com if you'd like to take a look.

There is usually a less loss on FWD cars vs RWD, but there still can be up to 20% from what I've watched over the years.
