My 03 L mirrors are not working right anymore. The driver side won’t adjust inward. (does everything else, just not in) The passenger side won’t go out. (does everything else) What do I have to do to fix this. (I’ve been pushing them with my fingers to adjust them, but that’s getting old) Thanks in advance for any and all help.

 

Could be lots of things. Wonder if the motor is going out or the connnection in the control piece is toast. Only way to tell is to take it apart and look to see what you can tell.

My d-side power seat in my HD was shorting out on me and I prayed it wasn't the motor. First thing I did was take the control module out and mess around with it. It wasn't making a good connection with the control. I could tell becuase when I used a toothpick to push on them, the seat moved every direction. Had to order a new control module. Looked online and found one for $30 less then everywhere else including the dealer.

Sounds like a problem with the control. In both cases you are pushing the joystick control to the right. Makes it sound like a dirty/bad contact in the control.
