Has anybody had a pro torque converter fail? I dropped my transmission pan and am seeing pieces of paper like clutch material but no metal. There is a very bad clanking sound coming from the converter area. I pulled the inspection plate and the flexplate looks fine with no cracks and the bolts to the converter are tight. I am thinking the converter is coming apart as the truck still shifts excellent. Also, I have a horrible idle surge when the truck is cold.
