Instead of seat covers just buy new ones - here's the cost from the dealer...

I was trying to avoid seat covers so I wondered what it would cost to just wear out the stock seats and replace them:

Here's what my dealer quoted -

Seatback is $351 for driver side.
Cushion is $351 for driver side.
Seatback is $351 for passenger side.
Cushion is $351 for passenger side.

Labor is estimated to be 4 and half hours at $80 per hour.

Clearly, seat covers are cheaper.

trabuco:

You wouldn't happen to have the part# for the driver's side cushion, would you?

Thanks,

Hey, Rick. I've got an idea...

Rich,
I already ordered one and no it won't work on the pass side cause it's a different shape. I'm not sure where these prices came from but I paid something like $46 for the one I ordered. The driver side seat cover was something like $251. These are from Ford. I intend to keep that driver side pad incase I have a problem with the one that's in there.

I just called the parts desk at the dealer. Didn't ask for parts numbers and didn't compare pricing - I figure at even half this price I'm out of the ballpark...

I was a little shocked to find out the stock seat cover for the drivers side was over $300 list. That's about the cost for a set of WetOkoles isn't it? I'm getting ready to do the seat conversion and hope like heck I don't end up having to order a new cover for the pass side. I guess if it goes bad I can just run without the pass seat and save weight.

Hey Rich - Sounds like he spoke to our friend Joe at Walker. https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif Joe needs to take a happy pill or something.

Met Fred today. $100-200 to do the pass seat to bucket... Said it would take a day to do.
