Fox didn't make it
 

I talked to the vet this morning, She didn't make it thru the night. I just wanted to thank everybody who thought about her and supported what I did. I'm not sorry I did it, just sorry it turned out this way. And I feel awful bad about it. Thanks guys.

Don't feel bad you did more than most would. As far as I'm concerned it was above and beyond the call of duty and I commend you for it. For course I live in a rural area and we tend to take our wildlife for granted. Moving to the city next year and I think I will be in for a big surprise. I will miss my family my space and the stars.

Anyways you should feel good about being a good person, maybe the fox was what you needed for a bunch of people to realize how good a person you are.

They said if she did make it there would be possibility of brain damage so maybe this was better for her. But it sure would have been nice to have a little racin' buddy to hang out with on road trips.

I am truly sorry she didn't make it. You are probably right, though, she's most likely better off now.

I am embarassed at the abuse you had to take at the hands of one (or more) who will remain nameless and I applaud your attempting to help the poor thing. If more people took the time to care, fewer people would have to carry arms, and the world would be a better place.

She's in God's hands now....

CA, not to be brutal and change the subject, but did you ever think of a ferret? Always wanted one of those critters that will curl up in your Ford Motorsports Jacket at a meet or the drive-in. Only problem is they tear your house up I have been told.

CA, I'm sorry to hear that. Like mentioned above, you did more than what most people would have done. For that, you're a better person in the end. It's all too often when people tend to judge on one certain event, and it's usually the worst event that they noticed. For me, now when I think of you, I will always remember of how much of a sweet, caring, intelligent (not to mention awesome) woman you are. And I hope others (especially the ones that seem to have problems with you) will realize all of this as well.

ya know, Doug and I had a conversation eariler today via email where I told him I didn't think I was going to be on the board very often anymore because it just wasn't fun like it was when I first joined. A lot has changed and there are a lot of new members and a lot of the same things are being said, same questions being asked. I have made so many good friends here and learned so many new things and I am very thankful for that. You're right Bill, guys like you and BBQ and Wyldy and Marcus and Justen and Spiro, you guys have been here from the beginning. We are the old timers for sure. I will be around, but I don't think it will be in the capacity that it has been in the past. 4 months ago a post about me hitting that fox would never have encountered what it did in the last 2 days. Doug said even though I seem to embrace being spoiled it seems like I don't appreciate it being thrown back at me as an insult. I don't take it as an insult. I think that if someone plays that card in an argument with me it just means they are not only observant but maybe a little jealous. And I bought my own damn truck just like I do everything else I have. Nobody gives me anything and with or without this fox incident you guys are the ones who know me and know what I am about. I'll still be around and I will still throw my .02 in. I just don't know how comfortable I will feel about sharing non L related things here anymore. But you guys have my email address. I encouraged Christy to stay around, and to send me an email if she has any ideas on what could be done to make this "more fun".

The same goes for anyone, Veteran or Newbie, if you have suggestions send them to me. If you see a thread that is going down hill send me the URL in an email, I will take care of the problems before they get out of hand. If you are concerned about being a tattle tale dont be, that would only apply if you only sent emails about your threads. If you send an email whenever there is a problem you are just trying to help.

I firmly believe that if we all can try to ignore the A55es and the trolls they will go away. If we let them get under our skin and allow them to bring us to their level in our responses then they have won. They are just looking for a reaction. Dont reply to the idiots, just drop me an email an I will close the thread. Nothing drops off the front page quicker than a closed thread....

I think this is a great resource that Steve is maintaining for us. What makes it a great resource ( the Best Lightning forum on the net ) is the volume of incredible people who participate. The willingness to share information. The tolerance for reading the " which is the best chip ?" thread for the 3000th time.

It is US that makes or breaks it, one way to keep the ratio of trolls, idiots and jerks to a minimum is for the rest of you to hang in there.
