I guess I will add my .02 here. I have long tube headers, no cats, an X-pipe and NO CHIP. Thats right NO CHIP. I run a Pro-M air meter, an oval throttle body and a 3.73 gear. I did swap out the EEC in the vehicle from CUX1 to CUX2 and I have never set off a code or MIL. Yes I have several different chips for my vehicle but I only run them when I go drag racing and even then I sometimes decide not too.

P.S. Just a little more informaion. Review the photo and you will see that all the sensors are in place. I have run less cats both before and after an X-pipe. I refuse to make changes to my vehicles that require a band-aid. I consider a chip to be a band-aid.
