I'm back in.....White!
After about 5 or 6 years since I sold my silver 01.......we just picked up a *new* 2004 L with 800 miles on the clock.
Bought it from a guy from MO, who had bought it and basically put it in storage. He drove it periodically to get the fluids circulated...and had a few basic modifications done to it right after he bought it late '04 - k&n filter, bed liner, and factory ford tonneau cover. He also had a 04 SRT-10 in silver with only 3xx miles - if anyone is interested! Here are a few pictures before our 800+ mile drive home to TX.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../DSC04132e.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../DSC04129e.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...g/DSC04135.jpg |

Rob-since 01 I have occasionally lurked on the board, and have enjoyed reading your posts and seeing all the different pictures, videos etc of the trucks you've owned since your first Black 02 (or was it 01?) - Glad to see your back into one of the fastest street L's out there..... :beers:
Guys, my GM guys are probably going to track me down and hang me, but.....I've spent alot of time on the GM side....building this truck.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...c/DSC01353.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...00737magna.jpg ....from a bone stock work truck to a pretty serious contender in the truck scene. And dont get me wrong, it was a blast, and I learned ALOT building it (installing the blower, cam, valvetrain components, methanol injection etc). But after all the time and money...and since selling it to buy my wife her Tacoma shes always wanted......then coming back to the Lightning.....I've realized that you can't build a truck to compare. The L is just solid, well engineered....powerful.....and fun to drive. Ford SVT did a great job matching driveline components, making an attractive body kit, solid suspension, hd trans+rear end, etc etc........As much as I've always thought I was a chevy guy...the ford has won me over. Not to say I wont own a chev again, but its good to be back  |
Looks just like the one in my garage...hehehe, but alot less miles. Great recovery.:beers:

Awesome find! Care to say how much $>??? If I found something like that for the right price I would probably get back into a Lightning. Good luck with it! -Mat-

Thanks JB
WOW make no mistake that was one kick ass looking Chevy you built :bows: I will always be a Chevy Man first (70 Big Block Chevelle Baby, I've owned @ 12) and I still have a couple of other chevy's to get before I get much older (66 Chevelle SS, and another 69 Camaro (this time I want a REAL BIG big block though) AND A BLOWER, and and and ..... :rocker: But your right NOTHING and I mean NOTHING compares to a Lightning.... |
