I want put in 3.73s and dont want to pay the expensive bill. I have never done this before. Is it easy to do for a 1st timer? Are there websites to help me out, etc? Thanks for the help guys.

Requires an experienced tech to do. Proper shims, dial indicator, and ability to set run-in and run-out of the ring and oinon gears. Attempting this on your own would be a mistake without the knowledge and experience. Pay the price and get it done right the first time, or it will cost you a whole lot more the second time around.

I paid $200 for mine. 200-300 should be good.

Do not try this at home unless you have done it before!!! I just finished last night and it required me to press a new bearing on, find shims, spacers, crush washers, ect...
Nothing compared to rebuilding a 9". If you have someone do this try to make sure they have done it before. It IS different!! [This message has been edited by Bolt (edited 03-22-2001).] |
