Prices on L's (now that we're in recession)

Have the prices of new Ls gotten down to at least MSRP or better. Since the economy has slowed, I hope these prices get realistic (as a former F&I manager I cringe at paying MSRP).
My brother recently bought a Honda S2000 for MSRP. Like the L it had a big premium on it before the slump.

I actually just went and put money down today to get the next Red L that comes in. They didn't budge on the MSRP, I still have to pay $32,465. But they did take a $1000 off of the $1200 extended warrenty plan.
They were really willing to deal on a 2000 w/ only 2000 miles, but I wasn't interested. But it seems that some of the people who were holding out for a cheaper price, maybe able to find a great deal on a '99 or 2000. The salesman told it to me bluntly. He said "we already made our money on it the first time we sold it."

Thanks,
Like you I would want a current model, not a hand me down.
In the past, it seems that Mike Bass Ford in Ohio was willing to "deal"on an L.

Are you saying that the ext. warr. was going to be $2200? or are you only paying $200 for it?

I am paying $200. I tried for a half hout to get it free, but they wanted me to pay some part, so I finally said, what the hell, its $200 (even though thats I wanted them to say.) But its a 5 yr, 60,000 mile warranty w/ 0 deductable after 36000, so i figured it was worth $200 and to stop arguing.

Thanks. It seems like a heck of a deal on the warr. Good job. https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif

I have been able to sell L's to board members for $500 under MSRP. This may not sound like a good deal but in Calif. it is.

The dealer cost on your warranty was $810.00. If you paid only $200.00, then the balance also came from you in some way. A dealership does NOT lose $610 to sell something. They got it from you some how.
