What interior differences are there between 99's and 00's?
I know that 99's did not have the over head console and oh crap handle, but was there anything the 99's had that the 00's did not?
I think I found a difference but just might have been a modification someone did to there 99. Hope Wheels does not mind me using a pic of his truck. I was looking at the stereo install in Wheels truck and noticed a storage hole in the dash next to the power outlet. I had a similar storage hole in my 95 Lightning and found it very useful. I started wondering if my truck had one put thought that I would have noticed by now. I found a pic of my truck that clearly shows that I do not have this little hole. But Wheels truck does have it. My 99 has a "Oh crap" handle-passenger side. The storage hole is a 99 thing.

Also, the '99s have a different "light switch setup" than the '00s. The 99s have two of those little rotary switches (to dim the insturment cluster and ???), while the 00s only have one.

Those 2 switches are the interior dimmer and the "How long to keep the headlights on after turning off the truck". Also, my 99 does have the little "pocket" to the lower right of the steering wheel. Its a great place to mount an intercooler fan switch https://www.f150online.com/f150board/wink.gif https://www.f150online.com/f150board/wink.gif No overhead console. the 99's have:
black mirrors (all colors) pocket in dash the 00's have different ashtray/drink holder in dash different light switch color matched mirrors overhead console drivers side oh ***** handle the drivers side door is also pre wired for the keypad you *might* be able to buy the dash piece with the pocket in it.. i dont know if there is a piece behind it for the rest of the pocket. *all your base are belong to us* [This message has been edited by clonetek (edited 02-28-2001).] |
99's have the better ash tray too.
also have the different color storage box in back too.
