Post Floor jack recommendations?

Can anybody recommend a QUALITY (i.e. not cheap chinese trash)Floor jack? The one I have now really doesn't have enough Lift. I was looking for a 2 1/2 - to 3 ton with around a twenty inch lift, well built, with a long handle. TIA

I have a Craftsman hydraulic that I use (well...intended to use) at the track. It fits under the pumpkin just fine when the stock tires/rims are on, but when I put on the 26" MTs it won't come out from under the truck (or will just barely squeeze out with moderate coaxing). Looks like I'm gonna have to grind on the bowl to make it work. Just a word of warning.

Hey Duck
Forget about the grinding......Take a couple pieces of wood, maybe 2X6--around a foot long, and place them under your 26" tires when you put them on and drive up on those when your done. I had the same problem last year.

I went and bought one of these chinese made ones, what a waste of money, the thing will lift your truck but then it will drop drop drop it like it's hot ...

The only US made ones I can find are in the $400 range, sometimes you will find a deal but its still over $200.

The Craftsman hydraulic sounds like a good one, how much $$ did you pay??

Craftsman has a 3 ton with jackstands thats $119 that they put on sale very often for $99. It is made in China but it seems like a decent rig. Sear item # 00950134.

Buy a Snap On. Ive had the same jack for 10 years now it has been in and out of the race car trailer and everywhere else. Never had a problem with it. Lincoln makes the jack for Snap On and you can probably buy a Lincoln at Napa. I think the Lincoln is dark blue and maybe has a little yellow on it. Anyway I know you can find the Snap On at www.snapon.com in there online catalog. It may be over 300 but I bet it will be the last you buy.

I agree, get a Lincoln. It's the best you can get for the money, and it's American which means a lot when one day you need to find an O ring or some other silly lil part to fix it. Buy Snap-On hand tools, but don't pay for the name on a jack.....without looking in the catalog, i'd bet there's a 20% markup for the same Lincoln made jack with Snap-On badging.

Cool

Thanks for the input. I did not know Napa jacks were made by Lincoln. My neighbor has a trucking company that delivers for all the Mid-Atlantic Napa stores. I think it's time to break out a few beers and have a talk with the neighbor
