Hey ya'll, i just scored a nice kill yesterday. I beat a ws6 trans am top-end!

I had just turned on to the interstate when i looked in my rearview and saw a purple t/a coming up on me and i thought "Oh boy, ths could be fun!" I changed lanes to go around a slower car and after a little while, he caught up to me. I stayed in the left lane so he would have to try to go around me on the right. (It's actually one of my peeves when people try to pass on the right cause they usually end up cutting me off as im about to pass another car.)

Well, he floored it to go around and as soon as he was right along side me I nailed it and we were off.

Folks im here to tell ya'll that his nose tip never came past my door!

Everone who knows T/A's knows that they are best at top end.
Well I had him beat the whole time, from around 70 to about 110. I think I was even pullin ahead a little! He had to slow down when he came up on a car in the right lane.

After I passed that car, I got over and he came by on the left and we both waved. Then he sped on ahead, probably a little surprised.

I was pretty happy with myself afterward (and my truck)!

nice. ive never been able to beat TA, but all the ones ive raced have been modded. gt mustangs are pushing it for me, i can only stay nose to nose with them. does that sound right? you would think i would be able to beat them easily.

HI!... A buddy of mine has a yellow TRANS-AM WS6 anniversay addition. It's a manual with full after market exhaust and CAI for his only mods. We went from 60KPH all the way up to 210KPH and we were almost dead even the whole time. I was only ahead by about a foot or two. He was very surprised with my truck due to I'm N/A.

against the new GTs that is about right cause they are ruffly the same times as the Lightning, but a 04- GT should have been beaten by a lightning

I always tell the story of the night I raced and Whopped a Fire Hawk about 4 or 5 times with the ole 02 (at the time it was a SB w/ Filter Chip n Pulley)
We raced from a low speed roll I KILLED HIM, We raced from a fast speed roll I KILLED HIM, we raced top end I KILLED HIM, and then we hit a light.....
It was in the low 20's that night and even know I had just embarrassed the hell out of him over and over and over I knew what was about to take place.

The light turned green he did one of those little 1500 RPM Chirp and Stabs and off he went, and there I was foot to the floor (dam rookie) roasting the tires off the rim, I dont think I moved 2 inches, hehehehe. I kept getting off it and back on it (what did I know at the time) and it just kept going into a John Force smokey.... By the time I FINALLY got it rolling he was long gone and I just laughed my *** off because I knew I was faster and lets face it on a 20 degree night with F-1's I can beat a L off the line ON FOOT

BUT I've always had some respect for those Fire Hawks every since
(amof I do a John Force Smokey each time I pull up next to one now just to keep the memory alive)

Have fun but, becareful you don`t do someting stupid like kill someone. Your truck is REALLY heavy at 110 MPH and will not out handle a T/A. Get em on a lonely street and spank em

I thought the top end was a little higher than 110. I know I was able to hang with a C5 untill 120mph. Nice kill, I guess.
