Question Anyone ever had a serious issue from a clogged injector?

First off, I'm not having any issues. This is purely to gain information. I was wondering if anyone has ever had a motor blow or some kind of serious issue that they figured out was due to a dirty/defective injector? I have been debating sending my 60's off to get cleaned and flowed, but if just using some injector cleaner at every oil change is enough, then I won't waste my money. What say you???

I melted the tip off of 3 plugs in # 7 cylinder before I traced it down to a clogged injector.

What I Use Is Lucas It Is The Best

What i use is lucas, it does not have any solvents in it and is good for injectors and valves and pistons and will not harm engine. This is the only one i will use no problems what so ever. TOM

That's what I use. I thought it would be good preventive maintenance for the fuel system and also as an upper cylinder lube. I buy the big bottle and add a little every time I fill up.

I believe wal-mart sells the big bottles for $9.88 and i use the small bottle for measureing. just stay away from petroleum solvents. As i said lucas will do everything you want it to do.

I use marvel mystery oil, It soaks up harmful moisture from the fuel and fuel system, and is also a great injector/cylinder lubricant.

Is that stuff pretty much the same thing as the Lucas stuff?
