Solid engine mounts, good or bad?

what do you guys think? would solid mounts be good? i know you would feel the vibrations even more but is there any harm to having them? what are the benefits if any??

Rich these days I really dont see a reason for even considering them.
I've used them A LOT on my old school stuff but thats because small block / big block chevy mounts can be ripped apart in seconds, hence sending the motor into the hood and destroying the fan, shroud, ripping lines and hoses off, gas pedal stuck to the floor, fan blades through the hood, bla bla bla (think I've actually done each and every one amof)

But todays mounts are A LOT differant, they're NOT just a piece of rubber attached to two steel plates. If I'd have to guess it would be the L mounts have a steel center shaft attaching the top plate to the bottom and then are incased in rubber. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ANYONE RIPPING ONE IN HALF ???

And hey lets face it, they dont come NO FASTER than me, baw ha ha ha ha
(ok before all the frigging cheer leaders pop it, SUPERCHARGED LIGHTNINGS that are actually driven daily on the street OK)

Oh ya the advantage, WOO HOO CAN YOU SAY AIR
(but again in the L's case I dont think it matters)
