E-fan problems..

I have a 3 year old LFP E-fan kit. I noticed a while ago that the high speed wasn't kicking in. I inspected the relays and found the high speed one pretty burnt up.

I decided to go with a SPAL fan controller and replace all the electronics that came with the e-fan kit. I taped into the CHT sensor on the truck and set the SPAL controller to come on low and high at set temps. Everything seems to work fine..

Now to the problem - out of no where the SPAL controller forgets the fan settings and doesn't power the fan at all. I can reset the temps and it will work for a while, but then forget the settings..

So could the root problem be the e-fan itself? Could it have excessive current draw that both fried the relay and cause the SPAL fan to lose it's settings?

-Mark

Anyone using the SPAL controller with the stock CHT sensor?
