Headlight Adjustment

Hey I got 2003 Lightning does anyone know how to adjust the headlights. My left one is a little high. Thanks

You have to remove the radiator cover. Then pull up the headlight release tabs and remove the headlights. You can then adjust the thumbscrews to adjust them up or down.

Be sure that the square part that the tabs slide onto is not crooked when you put them back in. You'll see what I mean when you get in there.

You can also buy the tool required for less than $20 and adjust them without removal.

It seems like on mine I could reach a small hex-head shaft without removing the radiator cover to adjust them down (after installing drop shackles). I probably used a real small ignition wrench to turn the shaft.

4mm headlight adjustment ratchet. Lisle makes one $10

Our you can what I do, and get you a 4inch cresent wrench and cut about an inch off it. Just be careful not to break the tab off.
