$700.00 installed. 2 inch drop all the way around. The ride feels good, took some of the harshness out of the rear.

BABolt, I would like to get some of the harsh ride out of my L but I do not want to gieve up too much handling. How does the Roush set up compare to stock handling wise( lean in the corners and ride harshness)?
What does $700.00 get you in the way of hardware, springs, shocks, sway bars ect.? Thanks.

whitelightnin' 09-25-2000 10:42 PM

700.00 is a steal of a deal...Steeda has a kit and is reputable...BaBolt will Roush sell the kit?...and yes...good question..what does it consist of..lata..jw

TampaBayLightning 09-25-2000 10:45 PM

UUGGHHHHHH!!!!!
I had to settle for the BellTech 3/4!!!! Ford and Roush wants to charge me $1500.00 just for the kit...

BaBolt: Sweeeet! You da' man!

It gets you the Roush springs installed at all four corners and an alignment. I passed on the Bilstein shocks. The handling is excellent and I know of no one that has gone this route that has a complaint.

700.00 soundz like it is less the shocks...is it BaBolt?....say what? https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif

Well...Steeda has the kit for 410.00. It lowers the Lightning 1 inch front 2.5 inch rear....Steeda also sells the Edelbrock IAS shocks...they use a special length for the rear due to the drop..so beware if you buy from Summit...Steeda is proven..I would jesture to say Roush is proven...will Roush sell the kit?...Bilstein's..stay away from them..they are rough..rough..rough...I had them on my '98 Z-28...Steeda will not use them either...Steeda been around awhile..lata..jw

BABolt thanks for the info.

Whitelightnin'-
What's the deal with the Steeda kit? I tried their site, but it sucked. Too slow because of too much unnecessary movement. Anyway, the 1 / 2.5 drop sounds like what I'm looking for, but I didn't see it on their site. The only one I saw was for the Gen 1s. Any help or info is appreciated. BTW, do you have the Steeda kit and (if so) did you do your own kit or did you have someone else install it for you? If you did it, how hard was it?
