I'm having an issue when stalling the converter

Today I was playing around at a stop sign and I pressed the brake and applied throttle to see how high I could stall the converter. I start getting a weird grinding/swishing noise around 1500 RPM's and higher. I'm not sure what this is. There isn't any loss of performance on acceleration or any excessive temps in the trans. I held it in for a while to see if the noise would change and it sounds the same the whole time I holding the throttle. I have a strange suspicion it may have something to do with the remote trans filter. I initially thought the converter may be going bad, but it's a PI converter and like I said, there aren't any other symptoms to point toward the converter. What could this be?

How long has the converter been in the truck?
