Try looking for a thread or two dealing with fuel pump connections. It was a while back, but someone had similar problems with fuel delivery and it was split/cracked or loose fuel pump connections. I have no idea if that would affect boost and I don't remember that being mentioned, but it may have something to do with the fuel delivery as well.

Good Luck

Bill

Hi Flash
Hi Bill

Bill is right have them check fuel presure, and fuel volume. Boost can be temp related. My owen truck on hot day(93+), the gauge would only show 8lb, and with lower temp hit 10lb. But now with PSP filter and a chip, is going past 10, looks like 12-13lb. But back to temp, less O2 in air the higher temp goes. In the winter I bet my truck stock got 10-20hp more.

Talking

its probably fuel related. Check and make sure your intercooler tank is full and you are not leaking any into the engine.

Post Having problem with my 99 L

I have a 99 L and im having problems with it. When I go to start it up, you have to keep turning the key to start it. It acts like it is not getting enough fuel or that it is flooding when I turn it off. Any suggestions on what it might be. The only thing I have done with my truck it K&N air filter and flowmaster. I also have a problem with not not geting the same amout of boost that I use to get. It starts out at 8 lbs when i stomped and go past the 10 mark buy the time I was geting ready to shift into 3rd gear and now im lucky to get 6lbs when i stomp on it and go up to 8 lbs at the end of 3rd gear. I know that the factory boost guage is not that accurate but its not running the same as what it use to. I would appreciate your input on what this might be. Thanks in advance.

Thumbs down

When my intercooler ran dry, I would get a similar "low" boost condition. I think the coolant also affects the sparkplugs.
