Man,
I thought a place with a name like www.drivetraintruckparts.com would have the part.. I called them and got "What's a Lightning?" I then simply said F150 and he said.. if you bring yours in, I might be able to match it. Sigh... BadBolt... please forgive my ignorance, but is that Ford's part # or Precision's? BadBolt,
No problem. Just called my local dealer. They had the old nut(?) part #390313-S100 in stick for $4.something and could get the other one in by tomorrow if the local warehouse had one. Cost was $8.25. If it wasn't local, it'd be next Monday. Want me to get it for you and express mail it? James |

I've already got that part numbered pinion nut you write about; problem is, that's the SAE nut and will not work for my metric threaded pinion. The other part is probably the right metric nut; but, I just ordered two from Pyle. Thanks much for helping. I'll post if I get the right parts. If it turns out to be the wrong nut, I'll page you for some help. Appreciated. |
BadBolt,
Glad I could help. Email me directly: james@jwatson.com if ya need me. Good luck! ------------------ 2001 Red Lightning ordered 7/17/00 And now the waiting game begins.... |
Bad, just be very careful that you get the correct nut for your gears. The first set of Precision Gears I bought were trashed because the mechanic tried to use the nut for the FMS gears. Make sure your installer knows wtf he's doing.
