Remove your complete exhaust system except the stock header.

My L is a little low on torque maybe you could send me some of your extra torque, I think I can track down one of those torque removers. I saw one at a garage sale last weekend. Get this, the guy was willing to trade it for a horsepower remover !!! Go figure?

I have one in my tool box. I keep it in the drawer with the lefthanded monkey wrenchs and my sky hooks.

Alright!!! enough badgering.

EVERYONE knows that, in order to remove torque, you first have to loosen your muffler bearings.

sheesh

You're talking about the bearing in the muffler pulleys, right?

Mad Booty... Errr 150 MPH- and all others:

I like Tundra's explanation. It makes this thread worth posting.... But I want to elaborate:

Think of a 440 lb object on one end of a 441 foot plank, Put a fulcrum, or an axle, 1 foot away from the 440 lb object. Stand at the long end, and push down on it. (Assume no gravity)... 1 lb of down force at the other end will lift the object up. This is an instantaneous application of 440 ft. lbs. of TORQUE. Measured as force per unit area…. . Increasing torque would allow you to change the speed of the object in question easier, or allow you to increase the acceleration of a heavier weight at the same rate. Use a longer lever arm, or more force to increase torque. It helps increase acceleration rates, ie. 0-60 rates…

Now say you want to keep rotating the plank around the axle. Imagine moving the long end of the plank 1 foot per second around its circumference. This would be a one second application of 1 HP. 1 HP is 440 ft. lbs. PER SECOND, or .force per unit area PER SECOND. Increase HP and you increase the ability to MAINTAIN a certain speed. 360 HP means you can move that plank 360 feet in one second.

Whaddya think Tundra?

Thats exactly what I was trying to say.

Now the $1 million question is, how do you get a better grib on that darn plank? I hear michelin put a Lightning in 3rd in One Lap of America. 'Bout time to buy new tires. If Truck Trend had their way, I'll be looking at a pinto pretty soon.

hey guys I bought that "torque-reducer" on e-bay & am now selling to the hihgest bidder, starting price is $499.95!!! There was only one every made so it is definatley a collectors item. The company that made it (made in Japan) HowcannaI-Achitayou went bankrupt after they found out that no car in Japan acually has any torque to remove. They sent this prototype torque-remover to the states (we have torque here) to help remove some weight from our vehicles (makes us faster) but it was lost on a ship on the way here.
Well now I have it so let the bidding begin, remember this will definately make your truck faster, I used it & lost 1.5 secs in the 1/4!!! also picked up 15 mph!!!!

I'll gladly remove about 110 lbs of torque from your Red L -- by exchanging your heavy engine with my lighter one. I'll do it all for free -- and we can call it a wash over the extra year's use on yours since I'm such a nice guy.

P.S.: Be sure to use summer air in your tires.
