Survey question: What lines your bed????
I was wondering what everyone uses to line the bed on their trucks? I mean do you use a spray on liner, carpet, nothing, what?

Nothing. I had the six bolts that hold the bed down chromed and now I don't want to hide them.
Maybe someday I will put in carpet????? ------------------ Jim jim@jimshaw.cc Black 00, Swanson Chip, clear corners, super whites Airaid w/10" Big Mouth filter, chrome wheels, AIM 2" drop shackles, Mobile1 w/FilterMag 2000 E320, 1993 Cobra R, 1959 Corvette, 1949 Plymouth Coupe Looking for a better paying job to support my L |

Ford Duraliner with the Ford emblem. However when I bought it I wasn't aware of the bed rug. Having seen it I would opt for the bed rug now if it won't scrach my back

I had the RHINO liner sprayed in. It is very durable and things don't slide around. Unfortunitly, I have had to use it as a truck, but not very often. The spray in is great but, I would probably go with a bedrug next time.

Rather than spent the $350 for a Bedrug and really not wanting the same thing that everyone else had, I decided to build my own. Cost was around $100 and looks a lot neater than the Bedrug, has a more custom look.

Rhino liner. Had it on my last truck, and loved it. Nothing beats it if you ever have to use your L. as a truck.
|
plain ole generic duraliner with no blue oval. I did take some old towels and used them as a "pad" as to protect the bed. I use my "L" as a truck sometimes and wouldn't want to be vaccuuming out (or smelling via the rear slider) mulch forever.
I didn't know about Bedrug as this was my first truck. IMHO, rhino/spray-on. NO WAY. No flame intended |

Can someone please explain what is so great about the bedrug? I have never seen one in person but I would think that it would be too easy to get dirty and would prohibit you from using your truck as a truck. I like the concept of having something soft (as opposed to the rigid, hard plastic bed liners, but I'm affraid that if put carpeting back there, I would then be too affraid to put bikes, lawn equipment, dogs, etc. in the back. Are the bedrugs rugged enough for this type of use?

JagcLightning - I put anything (dogs, bikes, plywood, bags of mulch) on mine that doesn't require a rake or shovel to get out. I've even had my John Deere rider on the bedrug. A friend of mine backs his F150 down the boat ramp until the tailgate is near the water and then loads and unloads his jetski off his bedrug. It's one tough piece of rug. https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif When it gets dirty just use a brush and hose to clean it up.

Hey JagcLightning--You can't hurt the Bedrug with everyday use, dogs, bikes, parts etc. No I don't work for Bedrug, but I did buy one and would do so again. Best price I found is from JC Whitney, $299.00. Go online and order, I put mine in 45 min. no sweat.
