It's Gone ....
The new owner Matt flew in from Texas late last night, after checking it all out he left @ 2am this morning for the 28 hour drive back.
Great guy, former Ford HD owner, friend of Paul G's, and new owner :beers: I already find myself looking where it once sat and saying WTF DID YOU DO ROB  http://www.lightningrodder.com/forum...milies/010.gif http://www.lightningrodder.com/forum...milies/088.gif But I also find myself sitting here this morning saying ok I can now at least afford the payments on the SRT8, and as timing would have it I'm also sitting here right this second filling out the paperwork that has to go to my Corporate Headquarters every year about my Vehicle. I'm giving a $400.00 + per month car allowance and I'm required to buy a new vehicle every 3 years to get that extra 5K per year. They never excepted the Lightning as that Vehicle hence the reason I originally sold the Cobra and bought the Mitsiwhateverthefukitwas (which is now also gone). So as much as this hurts right now, I simply had to do what I had to do... And for those that think driving a Brand New Super Jeep thats faster than a Stock Lightning, goes 0 to 60 in 4.7 WET or Dry seconds, and does 0 to 100 to 0 in 19 seconds is such a bad thing, BELIEVE ME IT'S NOT ; o ) Once again I have to say this Community ROCKS, I have life long memories due to it, life long friends, and I Love each and everyone of you. This is very hard on me right now so I prob wont be around for a while, and I did lose out on the surprise I had for you the other night, but as I've been saying dont be surprised if Ole Ronbo isnt too far away ; o ) |
DAMN ROB:eek:

PEacE........................ Jim |
Sorry to see you sell the Lightning Rob..:( Have fun with your new Jeep and be safe...
|
i agree driving the "super jeep" is a good time.

All the BS I've given you over the years... you did the right thing.
There is no shame selling the lightning and getting the srt-8 Jeep. Like I've said before, I'm a die-hard Jeep owner (on my 4th one now). I'm sure it was difficult to see someone else drive your precious truck away. All the time, money and sweat you've put in to it. Did you ever get it to the track? Is the motor even broken in yet? |
Ill tell steve to expect to see a dip in the server load and bandwidth bills If Rob isnt posting 24x7
Doug Seriously - Good Luck Rob |
Don't let the door hit you on the ass:rocker:

Found this on the Jeepsrt forums, notice he said the best! Seems to me there have been members here that posted a 13.2 bone stock. So maybe, it should be worded as fast as a Lightning, but it should be faster with 420hp vs 380hp. And a 1.8 60' 4 wheel drive,is nothing to flap your yap about. Especially when a 2 wheel drive pickup on F-1's have done that. Rob I believe even admitted he did it a few times............ But then we all know Rob was never one to let the facts getting in the way of a woooooooo-hooooooooo or @#$%^^&^& post:devil: |
Oh yeah, 1 more thing.............

Selling the L and getting the SRT-8 is definitely bittersweet, Rob. I can relate.
But just imagine how bad you'd feel (although, I'm not sure how bad you really feel) if you sold the L and replaced it with a new ****subutsi. Best of luck and welcome to the SRT community. Another stand up group of people to go along with those on here and the other SVT/HD boards. Dan |

Lets walk down memory lane, shall we: I remember a few years ago there was a certain member posting times of the SRT-10 pickup, keeping people up to date with the fastest times that they were achieving. That member was shunned and b!tched at for it. Including being called a "traitor" and tole that member should sell their lightning and go buy a srt-10. What's the word I'm looking for.... Oh yeah.. IRONY? HIPOCRIT? |
