What tranny cooler are you using?

I've been datalogging my tranny temps lately through SCT software to my laptop. What I'm seeing is up to 190 degrees in 90 degree weather - 175 to 180 in 80 degree weather. Seems rather high to me, so I want to add a tranny cooler.

What is everyone using? Don't want to spend nearly $300 for the LFP one. I'm also a little hesitant to use the F250 one because it appears to cover most of the radiator - anybody use this one without any adverse affects on engine temps?

How about the B&M unit? I've seen a few initial posts on these, but no follow ups on the install.

I'm looking for a plug and play, without too much fuss. Any thoughts appreciated.

I don't know how much they cost but the Super Duty trans cooler is bigger. You could probably find one at a good price.

Thanks guys. But as indicated in my first post, I have concerns over the super duty cooler covering 2/3 of the radiator. I'm already sort of on the edge of radiator cooling with an electric fan.

The B&M's with integral cooling fan are starting to look real nice.

Moroso makes a couple of frame mounted heat sink style coolers. Check them out.

I have had the Factory Tech Cooler inline with the stock cooler for 2 years. i also have a trans temp gage and have datalogged via Predator. on hot days in the 85-90 range, i never exceed 165 degrees or so. in the spring/fall, it's always 150 degrees. i used to be in the 180 range in hotter weather, so i'd say it has cut at least 15 degrees.

does not cover much of radiator (about 12x12). very easy to install/mount with included stainless hoses.

I have had the F250 cooler for two year and never seen any change in the coolant temp.

I think I'm going with the B&M unit with a thermo-controlled fan. It's called their Hi-Tek fan, 2 sizes and I'm getting the larger one. I'm mounting mine out back somewhere.

Thanks for all the input. Sounds like no problems installing the factory tech cooler, which was a concern.
