I thought I read on one of these threads that you should call the SVT hotline and verify your mailing address. Not totally sure if that is true, I will call on Monday and confirm.

I called SVT today. They claim that they have already started mailing certificates. However, I found this on their site regarding the 98 model year.

"As a new owner of an SVT product, you will automatically receive your certificate. SVT expects to begin mailing certificates about 60 days after the model year is over and final production numbers have been verified. Due to the popularity of our cars, though, this process will continue through most of the '99 model year."

Does this mean that some of us will have to wait until the end of 2000 to get ours? Yikes!

 

I called SVT and they said give them 2 weeks. Now whether that is people weeks or dog weeks I forgot to ask.

what do the certificates,"certify" or entitle the bearer of said, certificate to?

 

the certificates just say what build number you have out of how many.. that you own a SVT lightning.. Etc...

I still have mine for my 96 Cobra that I sold... Framed and all...

the only place that you will see your name anywhere near the certificate is the mailing address on the envelope when the ceertificate is mailed to you
