Not true on mine. You do need to raise the bed on one side but does not have to be removed in the instructions it tell you how and what you need to use to do it.Pretty straight forward really. Can do in maybe 2 hours if that if you have all the tools ready. Now the sliders that I make that is a different story!STan
sorry doug for posting this but need to clarify that.

Stan, by know no means am I bashing or even close. From my understanding and what I have been told the bed removal was required. I stand corrected, by all means I have seen and helped install some of your products. All have been very high Quality. This simply was and is a how too.

Edit;
In fact Ayrton (Chris, whom is a good friend) and I had installed your C-notch kit and your Sliders on his ride and they are outstanding.....and a couple of P Bars ta boot...

OH I know that you weren't bashing me.I just wanted to make it clear that you can do it without removing the bed.And I am somewhat glad you made one and are justifying what I had said all along.Stan

PS don't let cornercarvers get wind of this otherwise you will get the same amount of 'heat' that I got 3 years ago and about every 6 mos after!
The product that I designed was to hold the axle under the vehcile more than as a way to relocate RC. and they just can not see that but if you drove one of these fast around turns without and then with[panhard bar] you would not even read what they write!

When I installed yours on some friends rides, I did what you had stated, I had loosened the bolts on one side and removed the passenger-side . Lifting the bed, then bracing it and then used a right angle drill with a short bit. Again awesome stuff Sir, it is a honor to be in the same league..

C.C. who,,,L.O.L. I hear you on that one......Happy Holidays Stan to you and your family Sir...

I imagine that with the heavier HD, the difference would be even nore pronounced.
I have Stan's installed and it was pretty easy ... Designed as a "bolton"
so us non-mechanical guys can install it.

One thing about the C-C guys is that they are perfectionists, and quite
willing to slam anyhting that is not perfect. They have never driven one
of these trucks on track, so I don't know how they could comment.

Stan and DBL-G, thanks for all your studies, work, and innovation.

Was the right side chosen for the clearance issues? I seem to recall
that, but I was not sure. I think the preferred side is the drivers side,
but I don't remember why, exactly.

Cliff

Dirt track cars use the driver side because of the way the car is set up[leans alot] but for the sphault ones the pass side is the way to mount it.For the same reason only they don't leans as much.but for our trucks anything to keep the axle underneath the truck is going to improve handling.

and as for CC I know they are perfectionists my problem with them,is the majority[atleast when I was one there] was the ones that were the most vocal also did not build what they were cutting down the majority of the stuff on their cars was BOUGHT!Now how cricital can you take them?Stan

I've made a panhard rod for one of our road race cars, huge difference over the four link that was stock. But, that is a road race car. Yours is a very nice job, hands done one of the better ones I've seen done.

My question is, and don't flame or read anything into this, you are doing some track work in your truck to warrant such a thing I assume? Have you converted to a manual tranny for such things? I could see how it could be a hoot!

Best,
Ron

Thank you for the comment. No track time at all , in fact I drive like a old lady I like to have the best goodies for when I want use them. So I have built this Bad Boy to do most anything one could want and still be a reliable street machine. It is damm fun to point it into the curves and it goes where you pointed her......
