Post Apologies for off topic post

Thoughts for the day:

1.The journey of 1000 miles begins with a punctured tire and broken fan belt.

2.Its always darkest just before dawn. So if you're going to steal the neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.

3.Sex is like air; its not important unless you aren't getting any.

4.We are born naked, wet and hungry. Then things get worse.

5.No one is listening until you make a mistake.

6.Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

7.It may be that your sole purpose is life is to serve as a warning to others.

8.It is far more impressive when others discover your good qualities without your help.

9.If you lend someone $20 and you never see that person again it was probably worth it.

10.Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

11.Some days you are the bug; some days you are the windshield.

12.If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

13.Good judgement comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement.

14.Duct tape is like the Force; it has a light side and a dark side and it holds the universe together.

15.Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

16.Don't be irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced you can't be promoted.

17.Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

And apologies again for wasting the bandwidth.

hey sometimes we need more than just "L" stuff to read here unfortunatly we dont have a site where we can talk about things like this. BTW I enjoyed reading those

Since we are talking kinda about off the subject stuff, why cant I click on a user "id" to get his e-mail addrs? There have been times when I have wanted to ask a particular individual a ?, but cant get there E-mail addrs in the profile <steve maybe you can answer this 1>

I enjoy reading articles or advertisments in rags about how this item or that item "will make your vehicle like a Lightning", well guess what I have a Lightning

Another Lightning co. just came out, saw an advertisment on pg. 128 (left side) in the new MM&FF rag for only Lightnings, the addrs is http://www.F150Lightning.com/ not much there yet but looks like it might come in handy for future parts.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the link, Yoda. That's one hell of a parts truck. I don't know the answer to your other question but I hope it is answered. A lot of times an e-mail reply is a lot more appropriate than posting to the whole group.

Yoda: I know I read it somewhere that Steve doesn't allow the posting of e-mail addresses in profiles, something to do with spam prevention. I know a lot of the other boards demand that you do and I assumed it was so their sponsers could spam the constituants readily with adds if desired.

Evening Gents:

I agree. Sometimes the off topic posts are more interesting than the nitty gritty posts about seat covers or chips or whatever. The General section is absolutely overflowing with such stuff and I go there often to read if not to post.

As to the e-mail question, I believe 4D Thunder is correct in that Steve is trying to protect us from Spam. Just shows what a gentleman he is compared to some of the other BB's. On the other hand, you can go naked if you wish by including your e-mail in your sig., as I and many others do.

The only spamming I get from doing that is from the really kinky porno sites and I am not too sure why. In any case, it provides a little comic relief. Might be because we have so many Harley drivers on the Lightning thread including myself in the past tense.

Enjoyed the post.

Bill

Y2KBolt:
Hey Carolina man.

Yeah, your right, and it's sort of funny that my AOL address of MOSTOYSINC turns off more people than I can count. I also post on a "Classmates" site that tries to bring together both high school and college students from around the 40s to the present.
Every darn time I post a note to an old high school flame, I get a non answer. Of course, I start off by saying "Do you remember the night" , or some such dumb thing and I can only imagine a 59-60 year old lady seeing this on her e-mail, looking at my addy, and saying "OH MY GOD".

BTW, the porno spam is more likely related to the one, repeat one, time I went through the whole do you really want to look at this routine just to see what was there.
I fear I am marked forever in the memory of the porno spammers for this one sin. Nothing to do with posting my address with this site, but then it spoiled a whole story

Cool

LOL, Bill, and what would really finish the 59-60 year old women off is when you came roaring up in that L with the Bassini's rumbling. Want he ever grow up, he act's just like he is still 17.

Christy Anne:

I fear you have hit the button.

Once a sinner, always a sinner on the Internet and darn, I wish I had not fallen prey to my base desires. Actually, I think it is a hoot and I have no desire to go further into this garbage but be forwarned, if you hit the click button, they will keep after you.
