Post Flaming LS1

You lightning boys (and you know who you are) should be ashamed of yourselves for causing the Bowtie boys to flame up.(Pretty damn funny) Because about a week ago i two started them flaming and they closed the string too. Not hard to flameem is it? Sure was good reading though. Make me glad that we have the 150 page. At lest we arent allways bragging about how we kicked someones $ss.

now i know what the comedians are talking about, when they joke about the "Jersey/Z-28" mentality.

ps: no disrespect to the garden state, ihave family there, and i love it. the car however is a piece of crap (someone should introduce "lockwashers" to the gm engineers who designed it)

You are exacly right. That is what i told them they were making fun of RUSTANGS and i made a remark about paint jobs and rattles on GM cars that is all it took Flaming. Some of them act like mostly teen agers. Wish you guys would have been their when i told them i could smoke them out of the hole. They are fun to play with. Way to go guys

94% of all those kids on LS1.com just sit around and bench race all day. And then when you mod your car and blow them out of the water, they cry foul, and start with the sissy "my car is faster "stock" than yours was" though they have eliminated things (as noted with the !) taking it out of true "stock" form. Some of them just dont have a clue, and I wonder if most even own a car..

Hee Hee!

Funny STuff.....I can verify this because I come from that camp. I was one of the first members of LS1.com when it started up when it was owned and run by a guy named HUTCH. While my LS1 was a nice looking car, I started seeing the signs of what was happening. The warping brake rotors, the rattling dash, the mysterious oil burning issues, that absolutely AWFUL seats, etc. etc. etc. I still maintain contact with a few of the members just because they are all around nice guys and they actually do race and put their money where their mouth is. However, there was some major nonsense that came out of that board with a few members claiming to be people whom they weren't and claiming things that weren't at all true, etc. etc...
I guess that kind of thing happens everywhere but we seem to be a much "calmer" bunch here from what I have seen. There is just a lot of help and consideration here.

Why the put down on the chevy's?I used to own a '91 Z28.Never had a single problem.I drove it as hard as I could everyday and it never lost to a mustang. In 5 years I never replaced anything but the alternator-no engine parts, brakes or anything. The paint looked like new the day I traded it.My F150 has been painted on twice and gets worse each time. The dash is noisy, suspension creaks and I've heard plenty about warped rotors here.I REALLY DOUBT your lightnings are put together any better. And I've heard about lightning specific problems as well.Every vehicle made has some problems. So why dis someone and their choice of cars and it's faults? And maybe you guys CAN keep up with a Z28 or even beat some.Geez, it's NATURALLY aspirated and runs like the wind.Add a supercharger and you guys wouldn't be able to read their license plate.
And by the way-just because you can afford a lightning, and your priorities don't require a truck with more room and the ability to actually use the bed-SO WHAT?!You are no better than the rest of us!Why don't you just take the lightning section and go elsewhere? Not much input from this area helps the rest of us with average trucks anyway.

Cool

um hate to tell ya buddy but this IS the "Lightning" section of the forum. (is even says so at the top in case you do get lost) so the comment about go somewhere else with the Lightning section was kinda.... well you know DUMB! And by the way where wre we putting the chevy's down? I dont remember any posts of us slamming chevys!?! coming from several friends that had early chevys they werent built very well had rattles (but so are ealy mustangs) & every now & then you will get a car that was built great. No manufacturer has the BEST built product, somtimes you get a lemon some times you dont, heck even Lexus "the best built cars" have problems. Sorry your truck had some problems but my new Lightning hasnt had a problem so far (knock on wood hehe)

Thumbs down

Why the put down on the chevy's?
Cuz it`s fun

I used to own a '91 Z28
My condolences

Never had a single problem
Hold on a sec, lemme get Guinness on the phone...

I REALLY DOUBT your lightnings are put together any better.
I have some doubts myself, time to time...

Add a supercharger and you guys wouldn't be able to read their license plate.
Don`t forget about the 2,000 lbs of steel

And by the way-just because you can afford a lightning, and your priorities don't require a truck with more room and the ability to actually use the bed-SO WHAT?!
If I needed a truck with more room I would`ve bought an F-250SD; BTW, I *actually use* the bed of my truck several times a week

You are no better than the rest of us!
I`ve never seen anyone here suggest such a thing

Why don't you just take the lightning section and go elsewhere?
*You* came *here*, and you are free to leave if the company doesn`t agree with you

Not much input from this area helps the rest of us with average trucks anyway.
The people here are EXTREMELY helpful regardless of what truck they own. Oh, and just what are you contributing here??

KnightS -

The Lightning is the first Ford I have ever owned and I have been pleasantly surprised by the engineering, design, and finish. I have always been a Chevy guy, but Ford has really hit a home run with this truck. Cheer up! You can always dream of owning a Lightning.
