Stiegemeier's Ported/Polished blower - INSTALLED!!

Well, after 2 days of work in the engine bay, under the dash and under the truck it's finally in! Got everything completed last night, including final wiring of the gauges (sender in the block, pigtail connection, routing the wiring back into the cab, blah blah...) PM me if you EVER have questions about installing gauges - I'm practically the expert on it now that I've been through it twice.

Here's the shots of it installed. You can also see where I put the Jaz mini catch-can/breather. It works out REAL good over there, easy to get to, and uncluttered. Let me know if you need info on how to install it/route the hoses to it!

Please don't mind the dirty engine... It's getting detailed next week before WFC and the battery cover, solenoid cover and radiator shield are still in the final steps of paint... Should look sweet once it's all installed and cleaned up!!!

Seated, and ready to hook everything up:

.....continued.

Here's the Jaz Mini Breather/Catch can:

Started it up after the truck has been sitting a month - WOW! I couldn't believe how quietly the truck started, and how SMOOTH the blower sounds!! The blower used to make a racket - some call it "cavitation" - WRONG!!! It was the rotors clanking around in there! Bob stripped off the coating on the rotors which gave a hair more clearance - It's quieter than I have ever heard!

On the road, the truck pulls like a MF! The Accufab + porting/port matching REALLY feel fantastic! I notice a little different throttle feel with the Accufab, but nothing major. I've got to check the TPS voltage tonight - but I guess I'm one of the lucky ones - my Accufab idles PERFECTLY - in gear and in Park/Neutral.

Anyways, let me know if you have any questions!!

Max Power, the blower looks great!! I want to do the same this coming winter and while the s/c is off clean my I/c. In the mean time, however, I want to install the Jaz Mini Seperator like you have and would appreciate details on how you routed yours. You can email me direct if preferred at: edvosyka@mindspring.com
Also, where did you purchase it? Thanks! Ed

I read in your previous post about stripping the rotors-please elaborate. I know about the teflon flaking off and clogging the intercooler, but isnt the teflon on the rotors for a reason? If not, thats great news. Throw a couple of breathers on, get the blower ported and rotors stripped, and youll never have to touch it again.

The port job looks great btw.

MaxPower,
AWESOME....really looks nice. I have mine coming off next month and being replaced with the Steigemier Port / Polish for the Eaton and Polish the plenium and topped off with the Accufab.

Adding a power cooler, Hotchkis, 58" traction bars as well as some body work....will post the results next month. All in all...about $3500.00 in engine/body work.

Would you mind dropping me an email to discuss the port job? gatorowned@aol.com

Max, looks really great. What kind of retuning did you do? Bigger Maf, Maf extender? Were you close to pegging the MAF Voltage?

Thanks all

The rotors were stripped for additional clearance, plus that teflon just doesnt stick very well. I can't believe the difference it makes on the sound of the blower - SOOOOO smooth!! No "cavitation" noises, nothing.

I love my Accufab - nice looking piece, and works well. Drove around yesterday with no issues. It's a little sticky feeling going from rolling to a light touch of the throttle, but otherwise, very nice.

afchad sent you an email.
