Question 01' Lightning

I found a black 01' Lightning with around 45K miles on her. Asking price is 22K. Is this a good price and a good year to buy? Looks like the previous owner put flowmaster exhaust on it, not sure if any mods are under the hood because its Sunday and the dealer wasn't in. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I got an 01 in Nov of 03 with 32K for less that that. It only had a catback on it.

Look here for good deals.

That's a little high for that mileage. And black is a son-of-a-..... to maintain so take a good look at it in daylight when you're there.

Good luck!

Dan

just bought an '01 for $19K here in SoCal. had 56K miles on it but had a 100K mile fully transferrable warranty. Already had ******* lid, bed rug, aftermarket grilles, CAI and full exhaust. Best of all, engine was bone stock to best of my knowledge (ran a tuner to check for residual codes and found none).

Dealer trade is about $18K, PP sale is around $20K and delaer retail is around $22K (got these values from edmunds and KBB). Good luck.

The paint on it is perfect, so someday this week I'm going to go check it out with a dealer there. Are the 01's when the engine output was increased to 380 h.p., or are these still the 360 h.p.? I want to go see it now, but unfortunately we are getting 10 - 12" of snow, so I'm thinking today isn't a good day to test drive it, hahaha. Thanks alot for your input, and now I know i can get the dealer to come down in price a bit.

I bought an 01' in 03 with 19K for $22K. It had a bedrug, alpine cd player and bazooka tube behind the seat too. Just to give you an idea.

If you look up a value, dont go by KBB. They are artificially high on dealer retail since they are funded by the auto dealers.

Wink seems like a high price

I just picked up an 02 model from a dealer for 20k, it had 35k on it. You might shop around, I found mine on the Internet at Cars.com. I had to drive 200 miles to get it, but it was well worth it..

Why don't you do what other people do? Post a new topic "Need help, what do you think my truck is worth?" Blah Blah Blah. I wish I had a delete button when I click on topics like that.
