Does Anyone think that Lightning's wll Increase In value If Ford decides to Kill it......?,

I do.

I dont think it will increase in value. I do think that it will not depreciate in value as quick though. They may increase in value as a collectable many many years from now.

Ford has already effectively killed it. :)

Only with ultra low miles on it! Daily driven Lightnings w/moderate to high mileage will never appreciate! And, they are too much fun to drive to let one sit around and hope that it even retains value!:D

Very few modern mass produced cars/trucks will appreciate in value. Look at the 1990 Corvette ZR1. Dealers were marking up the first Z's to around $85,000, and today you can buy a 20,000 mile 90 ZR1 for around $18-$20,000.

If Ford never builds the Lightning ever again, they may not increase in value, but they sure will hold there value. Just like with any vehicle the better shape it's in and the lower the miles, the more it's going to be worth. In my opinion Ford will bring back the Lightning,it's just a matter of time. When Ford first produced the Gen-1 Lightning it ran from 93 to 95. In 96 Ford had the new bodystyle, then it was 4 years before Ford came out with the Gen-2 in that bodystyle. So just like the wait between the Gen-1 and the Gen-2, we will have the same wait. It will be worth the wait for sure, just look at the differance in the Gen-1 and Gen-2. I think the Gen-3 will blow everyone's mind!! And leave Dodge scratching there heads!

99,00,01,02,03,04,05. Looks like 6 model years old now and still worth 1/2 it's original cost. I'd say that it has kept its value very well.

Cavalier's and Neon's loose 1/2 their value in 6 minutes after purchase..

The only Lightnings that will be worth anything are bone-stock, very low-mileage trucks. Are there even any bone-stock garage queens out there? And any appreciation will be well into the future.

Mod it, race it, and forget about resale.

By the time these trucks are worth anything you won't be able to buy a part for them.

Old junk is fun to look at but really what good is it past that, I decided a while back that I'm not a collector....

Mine is still bonestock. 03 with 18xxx miles.

Oh wait, my tires are bald, I guess that is a mod:rocker:

Do you guys remember the mid 90's Impala SS? I still see those things for sale at unbelievable high prices with high miles on them. As for apprecitian value, if there is a big enough consumer base willing to pay top $$ for a vehicle that is not made anymore, then the vehicle will either hold its value or appreciate.
