I bought a new Snuglid XL for my new 2004. The XL has a single lock instead of the dual locks and they offer a keyless remote. The lid originally was shipped without the keyless remote so I had to go in to get it installed. The keyless remote is cool press a button and the lid pops up about a half inch. Also the lid locks itself when you close it.

Here is a picture of the remote -Its a little bulky - I wish there was a way to make it work off the ford remote.



The other mod is a light for the bed - a few weeks before I sold my 2000 I was horrified to find a rotting head of lettuce in the dark forward corner of the bed - it was 3 or 4 days after I had been to the grocery store - appearently it had rolled out of the bag. So I installed a bedlight to keep that from happening again. Its cool it works the same way as the hood light goes on and off based on the angle . Here is a picture






Also added a custom 2x4 to help keep the groceries in line...
At forst I installed the light near the tailgate to be sure it would be plenty of light - But after it got dark it became clear that it would work fine and look better nearer the cab.

I've got the Snuglid with the two separate locks and would LOVE to have a remote lock/unlock feature. I'm also working on a light idea for the bed, but it's kind-of on hold.

I've got the same custom 2x4, but mine is sexier I upholstered it in the carpet used to cover sub boxes - decent match to the BedRug!

Im working on getting an OEM style radio that does Sat and MP3's. I had 2 trucks broken into in 2 weeks in December. So Im sticking with the stock look ...

Believe it or not I havent installed a single performance mod yet. Im debating whether I will - I still have the long tubes and exhaust from the 2000 but Im debating whether to install them.

Im enjoying driving a truck that is fast and has full warranty.

Edit - I also resinstalled my Amp sub and speakers from the 2000, and while I was at it lined the doors and back of cab with 20 sq feet of dynamat type stuff...

My bro has a 2000 black L and he put neon blue lighting hidden under the lip of the bed (installed 4 of them)(6in) and so they shine in the bed at night so he can see and just hid all of the wiring under the bed rug...it works and looks pretty tight
