IF YOU HAVE 20's/DUBS PLEASE COME IN!!!
Was wondering the best 20 inch tires for our truck. Nothing to expensive though but good for the money. I don't really want to pay more than $1000 for the set. But if you have any comments please leave them. Also what size ??? 295/40's or how about 315/35's, anyone try that already? These are also going to be daily driver tires, I will get some slicks for the track, but I still want them to hook decent on the street, just in case :)
Thanks Appreciate it!!! |
I have BFG G-force 295-40-20 I bought them about 2 years ago ,and they still look new. I only run them in the summer maybe 3000 miles a year because most of the time the trucks got slicks on it.I think I paid like 1200 for 4 tires.

I run the eagle HP2, and LOVE them... ask my club how many times these tires have had the HELL spun out of them, and they STILL have LOADS of tread left!

This is not the place where I got mine. These ones are cheaper, but, come from the same company.
Try it out. http://www.wheelreplicas.com/lightning.htm |
I am running Goodyear Eagle HPs 295-40-20. I am impressed w/ the tread life and they're a good compromise of performance and wear life for street use. I have had them on for several road coarse events and they perform better than I expected, still looking for a set of stickies though. I got them from Tirerack for ~$900 delivered.

275/40/20 fronts and 315/35/20 rears...Those tires are just about exactly the same diameter as the stock F1's...

I just bought some BFG TA KDW 2 in 295/45/20 at Costco.
Inlcuded: Shipping Mounting Balancing Lifetime maintenance and the Costco Warrantee $242.99 each I had been running 295/40/20 Dunlop Sport 9000s. I was going to try the TA KDW 295/40/20, but when I saw I could get these for $60 less a tire I jumped on em. I am not sure when I will be able to get a chance to test em out, but I will be sure to chime in when I do. -Kimball |

I have the HP's also, not impressed with traction. I can lay rubber thru the first 3 gears. Tread life is good though.

Whatever you do, don't buy the Dunlop SP9000's! They sound like 44" Boggers on a 4x4, ride rough, and only last about 12k. Now I have the Goodyear HP's and I'm very happy with them all around. Ride good, handle good, and seem to be holding up very well. (295/40's)
