Sorry to say you have a 67" belt and need a 68" belt for a 4# lower

Goodyear Part # 4080680
Gates Part # K080680

(67.5" is being used by some w/ sucess as well...GY 4080675 & Gates K080675)

Good Luck

i finally got the belt on.there is about a 1/4" to no slack at all.
i also got the chip in and the cai.
them plugs look hard to get to.i could tell a big difference once
i started the engine.i bought the jdm xmas specialand this is the belt they supplied.is it common for the belt to be this tight?
thanks for the info!

not if your using the 67" like Art-Man said you have. That sucker must be very tight...

It really stinks when you get sent the wrong thing huh. You might wanna make sure you actually have a 4# lower pulley.:fyi: Back when I bought mine from JDM they sent me a bigger pulley than I had ordered. And how was I to know?

Just measure the diameter and let us know.

You also want to make sure your belt tensioner is not fully extended from having the wrong belt on it. NAPA & Autozone are your best bets for stocking the belts.

:santa:

That is the same belt JDM sent with my 4 lb pulley. I even called and the said it was the correct belt for the pulley. I had to break the tensioner stop off to get the belt on.

I have a 67" belt on mine with a 4lb lower and 2.8. I also have a metco AUx idler with 90mm pulley and 90mm idler also. Fits great- idler is level.

I had this same belt on before i put the 2.8 on

BTW what part of miss are you in. If you not to far id be glad to lend a hand on any mods you might do because if you put it on your truck ive already put it on mine.

i got lucky and was able to trade the belt .iam about 10 min from memphis latemodel.a mom and pop store had 3 belts in stock .autozone, oriley, napa, and advance all said it was a special order part .
thanks again for the info.

So is a 8lb a 9.5" or 10"?

ND4SPD 12-27-2004 12:58 AM

I would say 9.5

JeffsLightning 12-27-2004 01:02 AM

Then this 10" I have must be a 9lber:eek:

My point is that every vendor calls their pulleys by pounds when they should ALL give the diameter..It would certainly make it easier on us finding belts and KNOWING what to expect when ordering that so called 4lber...
