Something's broke!!!!
 

Don't know what happened, but my truck started to overheat, and lost alot of coolant from the passenger side, I know this is real bad, but I have no idea what caused it since it is so late. Is it the water pump, or can it be a stuck thermostat? Any help will be much appreciated. I just hope I didn't blow a head gasket or something else major.

hmmm, you say passenger side. Get under the truck and try to see were the main area that got wet. Is it running funny, are you seeing any smoke from your exhaust, I think white smoke is coolant, that would mean blown gasket for sure.

From over here, it sounds like your water pump it leaking out the seep hole, (which means it needs replaced). I didn't get enough details, but if you drove it for any distance and it is still leaking, I doubt you lost a hose or smething, it would have ran out of coolant. Could be a # of things, broken hose, hose came loose, faulty radiator cap, leaking heater hose. I really doubt you blew a head gasket, it would be smoking like a mosquito fogger (white smoke). Its hard to see where the coolant came from but basically it started from the front of the motor, on the passenger side and worked its way out. It was everywhere , and I had no idea where it originated. Alot of white smoke, of which you spoke so I guess it could be a blown head gasket, NOT GOOD, now I guess I need to get rid of the fast air intake, and ported S/C.

I ran out of coolant pretty quick but I still leaked some from wherever it started, I limped it home, only a few miles, and whenever the the temp gauge went high I would shut it down and wait for it to cool some. The service engine soon light didn't come on till about a half mile form home either. It also wouldn't run bad untill the temp gauge went off the charts, which only happened once when I pulled into my drive (every other time I shut her down immedately).

I know I shouldn't whine about my truck breaking down, you got to pay to play but this totally depresses me, I am at one of those points where I have no idea what to do. I am looking into buying my own house here in the future, and the last thing I need it a truck to nickel and dime me to death. Mods are one thing but if I have to constantly replace factory parts, whats the point? It sucks to say this, but if it comes down to it, I might have to sell her, and that would just break my heart.

Which dealer did you get it from? I have had real good response from Ruxer. Champion wanted to gouge me on price but I have never been there for service work.

It came from Ruxer, but I bought it from Coburn, I know the sales manager, and he gave me a pretty good deal.

Check the block heater plug. It may have popped out a bit. Put some coolat/water in it and start it and see if thats where it is coming from.

It happened to me 2 weeks ago. At a light I got on it and 20 feet past the intersection, big white smoke screen, I thought I really broke something this time. Pulled over and popped the hood, coolant everywhere, I think well its not the block, but maybe head gasket, but it wasn’t that bad, the line that goes to the heater core split, right where they have the fitting to slow the flow of coolant. So I got lucky...

No there is a plug where you can install a block heater on the L's. ;)

Ok, I feel alot better now, my neighbor came over to pressure checked everything, and he found the problem right off the bat, blown radiotor hose back by the firewall, it just looked alot worse than that to me, oh well, hopefully I didn't mess anything else up by driving it home, but I was really careful to shut it down when it started to overheat. Also, what will it take to reset the service engine soon light, can I just fix the hose replace the anti-freeze, and water, or do I have to take it to the dealer to do that, sorry I am not very wise on these situations.

same hose set as mine, id bet right by the hole there is a hard fitting inside the hose held by a crimp connector..but to reset pull the negative cable for a couple minutes with the lights on..

i replaced all four hoses on the truck for about $135
