Good old question that gets the vendor wars goin

IMO, I think the majority prefer the FTVB (factory Tech Valve Body) and favorite supplier is Chickenears.

Both, Gregg "Fact. Tech" & Tim "Chickenears" are outstanding people to work with.

as is the other Supporting vendors
Good luck

If you are going to deal with someone first deal with the honest ones. Chikenears and Factory tech are in that category.
Next, if you want to support F150online Chikenears is a supporting vendor.
Last, I have a FT tranny and is has worked flawlessly.

There are a lot of the same kind of threads on the f150 site about "da Man" Gregg. There is no better customer service IMO.

And if your wanting a HARD shift I ordered the 2CR valve body and if anything shifted any harder the there would be broken parts all over. LOL

I love it except the cops will be all over you... bald tires and a 1800 rpm shift = a lot of talking and pleading..

I have the modified LFP valve body. It took about a week to break in but after that..........barks from 1-2 easy. I also have 305/40/20 Nitto's. If your on the throttle easy it might spill a little coffee on you, but not much...just don't get into it too much!!!! ))

Please Read, this is why you should decide on a Factory Tech Valve Body.

One of my customers returned one to me early this week. He sent a letter and copy of his installation charge invoice with it. In the letter he stated that after installation by an SVT certified technician, it wouldn't engage reverse gear. This was all documented on his invoice.

The customer told me that he would like a refund for the valve body and his shipping charges. He also said that he felt that he should be reinbursed for his $286 labor charge he had to pay but felt like I would dispute that and didn't want anymore hassle.

I refunded his money and sent the FTVB to Gregg for examination and told Gregg that I would let him decide if he felt like we should pay for the installation.

Two days later Gregg called me and said that after inspecting it he realized that he had picked up an E9 instead of a 2C, even signed it and marked it as a 2C. He admitted it was completely his fault and told me to not only refund the labor but also send the customer another brand new FTVB for FREE, which I did.

Needless to say, my customer was beside himself when I called to give him the good news.

Now remember, this customer was satisfied just to get his refund but felt like he was entitled to labor charges also. He would have never said another word about it and let it go. That was not good enough for Gregg Evans of Factory Tech Transmission Performance.

True story, the customer even said he would post about it.

Cool

I too purchased my FTVB from the Chiken man.

Gregg was sick and wasn't able to send the FT Tranny Cooler when Tim sent my other goodies.

I called Tim after a few days to find out what was up. He contacted Gregg and let me know that Gregg had been seriously sick and apologized for the delay.

The NEXT DAY I received my tranny cooler and an apology e-mail from Gregg.

The guy was deathly ill and didn't get irritated with my e-mails and Tim's calls.

Both of them contribute and / or support this forum and the folks who peruse it.

In other words, buy the FTVB from Tim and you CAN'T go wrong !!!
