Are our L's really envied/hated by many?

Today I noticed this strange substance in the bed liner close to the cab. Looks like it won't evaporate. Then I noticed more on the right rear quarter panel, and some seems to have splashed (wind from driving?) toward the back and gotten on the tail gate. After closer inspection, it appeared yellowish, and at one point, although it is windy out right now here, I thought I smelled pi$$. I sure as h ell ain't gonna touch it.

WTF!? Some ******* a$$ mother-f ucker pissed on my truck? Either that, or its Mountain Dew or something yellowish they dumped on it. Why don't people have the balls to just take it out on the owner, and not the sitting truck?

And, in effort to avoid this aggravation, I don't have any pi$$ on (whatever) decals, nor do I have "Here....Hemi....Hemi." It's just a plain-jane white truck (as plain as a white L can be). No tints even.

I always do the park-and-hike to avoid door dings. What, does that pi$$ some people off, to the point they want to pi$$ on my truck?

I just don't get the envy thing. I guess it empowers losers. I have never wanted to destroy property of others, even when they have something valued far in excess of anything I could afford. I guess I should be thankful it's not keyed or something to that effect.

I had someone scratch the rear quarter panel on my L' at my son's soccer game this weekend....it looked accidental... from a folding chair or something, not intentional like your situation, but none the less it pi$$ed me off since it did not buff out completely.
It seems like more and more people are becoming inconsiderate a- holes.....I do the same park & hike all the time and STILL find someone parks next to me in a POS 12" away.

I know how you feel

I also know how you feel, but mine was not wash off. Somebody threw a brick into my windshield and shattered it. Alarm went off and woke everyone up, nobody was caught tho. I waited outside with a knife the rest of the night waiting for somebody to come back.

If you think you have it bad... drive a Corvette sometime.

Seriously, it _is_ all about envy. I don't get it, either. I haven't always had an L or a Vette, but like you I would NEVER consider damaging someone else's car/property. Oh well.

At least it will wash off.

We could always drive a neon or civic. AHH thats right! Then we would have to install a large wing, an enormous coffee can exhaust tip and then install a huge monster tach with a shift light. :) I still think they would mess with our rides. People just don't care unless it is theirs. Sorry to hear.

People without nice things hate people with nice things and tend to do stupid things. Then they wonder why they don't have nice things. I bet every one of us has a story about getting egg'd, keyed.... :smoke:

yep thats true, why i met in an accident and my L was totaled. Alot of people were happy, saying that I should never own a truck like that. After that many ricers started to turbo there vehicles now that the L is gone. I just :p

So yes I know your pain.

What happened/why were they saying that?

Pretty sure. I'll look for the shell marks in the paint tomorrow.

hey fast1, have you ran your truck at the track? If so i am interested in what you run b/c now a days an 00 is a lot cheaper than an 01 and up (or at least on e-bay) and those would be similar mods that i would do when i get a L. thanks

im not trying to top anyone but i had not even had my L for 12 hours when it got vandalized. i had just got my 03 with 90 miles on it for $26,000, BRAND NEW, it was a left over, and an amazing deal. then about 10 hours later, after i picked it up, it was smashed up for $2100 worth of damage. people are so inconsiderate and jealous. it sucks but i guess it comes with the truck.

SlowSVT95 Dec 1, 2004 07:27 AM

It's happened to every thing I've had except the Lightnings. I had a lot of damage done to my Mustang in the past.

I hate a-holes like that! COWARDS!

On a side note, last night, I was returning to my winter beater (jeep) in the liquor store parking lot when I hear this noise. There is a brand new import trying to get into the parking spot next to me, and she was pushing the shopping cart with her bumper into my jeep! I wasn't concerned about my beater...just her stupidity....let me just say....12.5" wide tires and very little offset on a jeep make the tires stick WAYYYYY far out of the wheel wells. I hope I can buff her paint off my tires!

For ignorant acts like that, murder should be legalized.

You shouldn't let whatever it is sit too long!! Especially if it's on the paint anywhere.

Hope it all comes off.
