Thumbs up Programmer questions

I have a 04 L with just a k&n panel filter. The truck only has around 1K miles as I do not use it as a daily driver. I would like to install something along the lines of a Diablo programmer, w/o going with the pulley, etc. I normally would do the pulley, exhaust, CAI, etc however I have a few other projects going and I was recently burned on a warranty claim on a previous vehicle.

So for now or until the the mod bug takes over again, with just a programmer would I see enough gains from a programmer to justify the 3-400.00?

I have heard ruhmor that I could see anywhere from 20-30rwhp with just that.

I have searched threads, etc looking for info prior to this post however most are doing more that what I am looking to do at this time. Thanks for your Help

well a chip I had on my bone stock L back in the day made a huge improvement in power. Didn't dyno it so I have no numbers but it was nice and I lost that stupid cylinder drop between shifts.

On the other hand, I would not recommend using any of the programs that come on the predator. I would recommend you spend the money on one from a tuner with a custom tune like the ones offered from JL or PSP.

I also like the fact you don't have to mess with the computer to put a chip and no evidence of tampering if you have to go back to the dealer.

It is a tool that will work with your mods as they come and updates from your favorite tuner are only an e-mail away.

Yes you will notice a difference.
I have the SCT 9100 and you can make tuning changes to it when you decide to do more mods

can a sct 9100 and the predator basically do all the same things? are there any real benefits to one or another, or is it just brand preference?

also, JLP does Pred, JDM does SCT, and i know PSP does Pred. but do they also do SCT?
thanks
