My Truck Don't Rattle No Mo!
I finally took the POS flowmaster setup off the truck and replaced it with a used stock catback I picked up. It was real easy to do as I was swapping in the Magnaflow Hi-Flo cat midpipes I just got.
No more rattle when I take off - no more redneck truck burble when I let off!
The sound kinda weird now though - sorta like a old big block - way deep tone, but not real loud. I think I like it, but I think I'd like a Silver Bullet better.
The flowmaster was basically a pair of 2 chambers welded into the factory pipes and welded togather at about a 45 degree angle. The rattle was the muffler body hitting the bottom of the can when the motor torqued over.

Don't get your hopes up early.
The CarSound cat has a reputation of eventually loosing the ceramic elements due to extreme heat. After two years I had an element come loose and it ratteled inside the cat for about two months until it finally came out with a WOT. Now I have true high flow cats

That's adaptive high performance responsive tuning.
They make more power after you get used to them
I'll keep an ear out for that - I've heard of several doing that.
Thanks,
Herb
