Nobody digs Cal-traks?? Hmmm.

Well let me be the first. My truck is lowered 2", I have aftermarket exhaust and there's no clearance issues. they're not noisy, like some people complain and they work well. I am biased because I run them on my Mustang too. Cal Traks all the way!

Flord,

What 'level' are you at with your truck? What's your combo and track times? Got any install pics?

I'm trying to put all of the real world feedback into the proper perspective for my plans.

Thanks,
Herb

The faster you get, the more likely you will need the Rancho style bars.

That's kind of what I'm leaning toward.

It sounds like the only real negatives would be exhaust clearance on some catback and possible speed bump food for the front brackets.

If I fab them, I will most likely use hiem joints at at least one (front) end. This make cause some noise, but its not like my truck is quite anyway... save that junk for the Caddies.

Later,
Herb

i used:
-jack
-jackstands
-some assorted deep sockets
-18" breaker bar
-ft-lb torque wrench
-1/2" drive socket (you could use a 3/8", but my larger sockets are 1/2")
-drill w/ a bit i had to shorten to drill the hole in the side of the frame, but a 90* drill would make it easier
