Changed my plugs today, been running with the stock one's now for @28000 miles. I had to work today, and am on call, so I was quite hesitant to start the job this afternoon. I was really suprised it only took me 2 hours, even after having to run to auto zone for a gapper! (couldn't find mine, damn gremlins ate it or something!) They(the spark plugs)all looked caramel color, except # 1 (assuming it's on the left side of the engine, I think ford does odd on left and even on right??). Trucks been sitting for a couple days and I figured maybe the valve was open on that cylinder allowing it to be a different color?
Will post some pictures as soon as I figure out how to post them! Thanks to all the guys who posted their suggestions on how to install them, it was much appreciated! Especially when I first started looking for the plugs a month ago I thought they were near the exhaust manifold!LOL:eek: Thanks again to all who posted their experience, Bryan |
2 Hours, WOO HOO, WAY TO GO BRYAN :bows:
It's like frigging labor I tell you, for some it's an all day nightmare, and others just bang it right out.................. Took me @ 3 the first time, and even longer the second time, (buts thats because I had melted 3 plugs and went over the truck with a fine tooth comb) Not looking foward to next time either............. |
