Finally, officially, JDM popped the beast's...

After 3 yrs and 56000 miles of almost wonderful non-chipped/pullied service (I did spit a plug somewhere around 44000), the beast had its chip-cherry popped today at a dyno day session with the CJMF mustang club at JDM. Jim did the honors of the first pull with the SCT installed. :)

Threw on a 4lber, SCT w/mild tune (11.5-11.8AF's), and a 90mm MAF (BABolt "Powerpipe") and away we went.

I'm now close to the 400/500 club, and may actually be in it when the truck isn't quite as hot (5 back-to-back dyno pulls in 2 hours).

The blue line is the new mild-street tune, the red line was my stock ECU.

Weeee... The other two programs I've got in there are a 93-octane drag program and a custom road-race program Jim made up for me (some unique shifting changes).

Time for more fun. :)

The two fun fun moments of the day were one, discovering that my DEALER installed plugs were gapped at a grand-canyon wide 80-thousandths of an inch! Nice! And then, while trying to remove plug #4 from the passenger side, we found a rock stuck in the plug well that made removal quite the pain!

Thanks to all at CJMF and JDM for a great day and taking care of me. :)

Congrats on the deflowering, Daniel.

But I'm sure that you noted that JDM used inflated STD numbers. So you are still probably another mod away from the 400 (SAE) club.

Yeah, I went over that with Jim, and we actually cycled through all the different sets, I only saved the print out from the STD graph (which is set for 4500ft altitude, of which, we are techincally only ~200ft above sealevel here). The SAE numbers were within 5-8hp/8-10tq, but I forget exactly.

I do have my e-fan and cobra water pump waiting to be connected... :)

Varies, depending on where in the tune, but 12-14.

I love it so far. :) I have to relearn then new shift characteristics though. AutoX'ng for 3 years, I really had the spots for the shift points pretty memorized. :) lol.

We moved downshift-points around couple hundred rpms places as well as decreased the transmission shift delay and raised the redline to 5750. Did not touch line pressure. The road race program is similar, but with lengthend downshift delays to allow me to hold speed.
