Got my Arse handed to me by 2 new GT's yesterday...
 

Was in a monstrous traffic jam yesterday on I-96 and I was in the right lane...what comes up next to me in the middle lane? 2 New GT's... both manufaturer plated complete with the white vynal numbers on the window.

The black one gets over to the far left lane as they get close to me and they slow down. Well, the red one nods his head and I do the same...now we are 3 wide. We all stop and allow traffic to get WAY ahead..so now I'm stoked beyond belief that I get to race not 1, but 2 new GT's. No one behind us seemed to mind either...lol. After a quarter mile or so pad was between us & the traffic-jam ahead of us he waved his arm & all three of us went...I spun but still did better than I thought. I lost none the less mind you..those things are no joke. My blower was the loudest, but I heard they (The GT's blowers) were quiet, plus I have an open intake & pulley..but they still sound sweet from what I could hear from over my own noise. Anyway...I was out of gas & it was 85 in the shade, plus I heard on the radio that the jam we were in was over an hour long...so I pulled off on one of those areas where the cops sit to turn around & got this last shot...

The guys waved to me & I did the same...I would have like to have gotten an MPEG video of it, but I was worried about paying attention to the race I was about to participate in...so I decided to sacrifice it... super fun though.

Nice. I would love to see one of those in person. Great job keeping a camera in the truck. I dropped mine, or I would have some good pics too:(

What GT blowers?

They're blown. Believe me, I could see the engines through the glass hood in the back...soooo sweet. I guess their blowers are twin screw or whatever, less noise, better boost & so on.

5.4 Liter, 32 valve, Blown...

From what a little birdy told me,
If you take a Lightning engine, swap the heads with a navigator (32Valve), and put on the FORD GT INTAKE, you are good to go!

Or you could take the intake off the Gen 3 Lightning. Same thing.. Oops did I say that.... shhhhh... its a secret.

Thats excatly what I'm doing now.

I seen them also I was headed east on 69 and there were 3 of them headed west bound on I-69 I would have loved to see what old Suavy could have done! Once I wiped the tears away I thought cool! :thumbsup:

:devil: you had me worried that you meant MUSTANG GT'S, that's the only reason I read this. Great Job (I also keep a camera in my truck at ALL times, ya never know.) That's awesome, time for some more mods. :rocker:

You should be honored to have your a$$ handed to you by not one, but two Ford GTs. I have a buddy that works for the Ford dealer here in ANchorage and he said that we should have the only two coming to AK here before the summer is out. They both sold for $180K! :eek: That is how much I owe on my house! ALthough I would sell the house, drive the GT, and live in a box if I could convince the wife. ;)

Nice encounter with pics, I think you have to be in the 11's in the 1/4 mile to at least have a chance in a short race. :thumbsup:
