oil in number 8

I can't say that I am familiar with the lightning but my 5.0 did the same on the number8 cyl plug threads with oil. the solution was to take the PCV valve intake port, drill and tap it to a new location mid way in the upper intake. that seems to stop the oil in number 8 but not the detonation

Im wondering why they wasted the part if its not active

- I agree that it has been believed to be diabled for years but if that the case then why pay for the part and someone to install it ??

I just built a new tune in my SCT software to see what the switch was set for. When building a new tune from scratch it starts from the Ford base file...

The Knock Sensor is disabled!

I was thinking about the MSD knock sensor as well. Since the sensitivity can be adjusted, perhaps it would work. I wonder if MSD makes a plug-n-play wiring set-up for our trucks. I might look into it.

It's probably cheaper in the long run to have a procedure that says put sensor in all motors on the line. As opposed to having to have someone slow down and make a decision whether or not to install it. It's easier to disable it than to need it and not have it.
