Part #?? How much is the IAC valve? If it is not too much I might just replace mine to see if that fixes the problem.

Not sure on the price, lemme go check tomorrow on part ##, and I'll see if I can work out a "friendly" price.

hey latemodelracer, my cervini's ram air hood starts whistling around 45 mph also. I finally traced it to the aluminum inserts and took them out. Doesn't look as good but that annoying whistle is gone. Wish I could get some inserts that match my trenz grills. I would do it myselt but I have no way to weld aluminum.

Up until 2003, the part # is F67Z.9F715.BB. For the 2004 year model, it can be XS4Z.9F715.BC for the HD and YL3Z.9F715.AA for all 5.4 Heritage and SVT models. If you need to double-check these numbers, try to look at the engineering number stamped on the old IAC, it will look similar, but NOT THE SAME as the part ## you'll need. Any parts counterperson will know how to x-ref. the engineering ## with the Ford ##. The prices range, but lie between $70- $95.

YL3Z.9F715.AA It was 79 bucks after tax, from Palmetto Ford in Charleston SC...and they had it in stock. I will install tonight...have to borrow some tools from work. (just two little hex heads, but I'm away from home and don't have my box here.

I havn't had a chance to try it, but simply cleaning it may fix the problem too:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...=clean+solvent

That thread has info on cleaning it.

Exclamation Iac moosing problem

I had same problem with my 4.6l V8 IAC hose was vibrating into the air snorkel.I cleaned Throttle body, EGR valve and IAC valve with no success still HUMMMM. Then I found a clogged DPFE tube on my EGR tube, mine only has one but most have two so I cleaned it out with a piece of thick copper wire and some carb cleaner and replaced IAC plastic tube with 3/4" Gas hose with the 90 degree rubber elbow that was on the old plastic tube and cutt a 1 1/2" piece of the old plastic tube so I could join them together for a nice fit with no crimping and Presto no HUMMMM and beautiful Idle and perfect throttle response
