$15K
I'd rather have a dodge SRT-10 than pay that kind of cash on a conversion.

Nice job, but it should have been an option from the factory for $0.

15k is way to steep... you could figure 12-13k if you sold your current tranny...still no bargin though

I'd think for that price it would at least look alot nicer.

Still kudos to them for actually doing the conversion. Thats definately gotta be a blast to drive, plus having that downshift exhaust rumble .....

Wow that is an extremely long shifter. I don't like it. Needs a nice short shifter, and that is the problem you just can't do it. Unless you have really long *** arms.

From: Colorado,
It looks well thought out.
I bet if more folks go for it the price will come down.

I can picture it with the arm rest down and my fingertips doing the push pull.

I wonder how long a throw it is and wether it is a top loader or has linkage that could be adapted to short throw.

As long as we are dreaming and money is know object I think I would opt for a paddle shifter like the road racers have. Similar to a motorcyle shifting.

I used think shifting was fun but the performance and ability to drink coffee while going through the colorado mountain twisties has made me have second thoughts.

built motor, tranny, and aftermarket blower vs manual transmission conversion..........guess what looses???

It's unique, but i would never spend that much on converting it.

A guy over at FTE said that the next Lightning will be a standard 6 speed and IRS. No option for automatic in the next generation L?

this is actually prime opportunity to see if a stick will actually improve ets. I always suspected it would not because of the torque converter.

Sure the shifter's long -- anyone got a better idea?

It's the nature of the beast -- ya gotta get the shifter up off the floor to you hand. Hell, I had several VW buses -- 1st gear was aim towards the general area of the left front tire, 2nd was aim towards your leg . . . The throws were like three feet long.

But that's just the way it is when you sit that far off of the floorboards.

Imagine a Lightning with a 3 speed or a 4 speed with a long throw between the gears, that way you could be more consistant.
