I'm not posting ANY MORE PICTURES of my engine!

until it is 100% complete that is.:p

;)

but until then, here's a slightly doctored up "teaser" shot for you guys.

let's just say that I'm VERY pleased with how the motor looks. I just hope it runs half as well.

I'm pretty much finished with it. I just haven't installed the oil pickup, windage tray, oil pan, spark plugs, and the wiring.

I haven't decided on the oil pan and related yet, because another member warned that he couldn't fit his engine into the truck with the oil pan already installed? so I'll have to investigate that some more and decide how to approach it.

I had hoped to have the motor in the truck today, but it didn't work out.

it "SHOULD" be fired up on this Tuesday night though!

Chris,

You shouldnt have any problem dropping it in since the cab is up. I belive any engine installation related issues are due to trying to squeeze everything in through the hood.

I'd love it if it just drops in, but another member (not sure which board it was on) used the same pan and told me that his motor would not fit in with the pan installed. it was apparently bad enough that he had the corners of the pan cut and welded in angled corners or something like that?

it's very likely that he was installing through the hood opening, but the way I understood it was that he was having problems with the moroso pan clearing the actual frame crossmember.
