Used Boyd Coddington Timeless 2's
One of buddys with a 03L bought a set of Boyd Coddington timeless 2's for his DSG L 2 months ago. He said he paid 3,800 for them and would sell them to me for 2,800-3,000. Should i go for it or is this a little steep for used wheels and tires. The wheels only have 2,000 miles on them. HE is selling because he is buying a 03 cobra again hes already had a white 01L that i got my hood off of and then a black 03 cobra that he traded on the DSG. I guess all i need to know from yall, is this a deal or not?

That's such a bad deal....
I would offer 2 G's flat. I think they are cheaper brand new at the tirerack.... |
Forgot to mention they are 20's. I didnt know Tire rack carried the TImeless 2's
|
How important is traction to you?
Those are nice looking rims. Your going to sacrifice some traction with them though.
 |

It looks like they dont' carry them anymore, give them a call. They are like 400 bucks a rim.

These are the Timeless 2's ...
http://billetwheel.com/Wheels/Signat...less2large.jpg I seriously doubt that Discount tire had these for $400.00 a pop considering the retail price is $670.00 for a 20 x 9.5. The Timeless 2's come from Boyd's top of line "Signature" series which means they are also fully show polished on the backsides as well. I do agree with Mr. 78f1hundo that the asking price is a bit steep. Even if the guy has BFGoodrich g-force tires ($$$$) on I wouldn't pay more than $2500.00 for the set. |
Believe me, Rob knows, my bad..... I just thought they were all priced the same.
I remeber a truck at WFC 5, does it look familiar? https://www.f150online.com/galleries...1206-84645.jpg |
I paid $500.00 for those damn things :(
Boyd's does make a specific line of wheels for Discount Tire and Sport Truck Direct that are more budget priced. Timeless 2's aren't one of those wheels though  |
I now have the Timeless 2's on my L. I stuck with the 18"x9.5"s due to the fact that I like to run the Drag Radials out back. I paid $450.00 per wheel. They retailed for around $550.00 ea. I didn't price the 20's, but imagine they'd have been a minimum of $75-$100 bucks more per wheel. The 18's look frickin' AWESOME, so I can only imagine that the 20's would be absolutely OFF THE FRICKING HOOK! I'd say $2500-$2800 would be a fair deal for both parties. Goodluck with your decision.
Later, Rob |
Do you have a pic of your truck with the 18" timeless II's? Those rims are bad@ss, and I want to stick with 18's as well.

I'm still too much of a dumbass, when it comes to posting pics of the truck. If you go to www.talonclub.com then go to the "off topic" forum, there are some pics one of the members took of the L at the Dallas Autorama last weekend. You'll have to scroll down the page to the Silver L. The pics are still not all that great in terms of giving you a good side view, but should at least give you an idea. I'm planning on updating my gallery here pretty quick. Later, Rob Maybe this will work... http://www.talonclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4544 |
